About

Make cool biology, evolve responsibly

Forage Evolution was founded in November 2024 by researchers at Cornell University. While working to develop sustainable biotechnologies, we created a tool broadly useful in molecular and synthetic biology. We’re still passionate about sustainability, but we couldn’t keep this tool to ourselves.

Our team has a track record of thinking outside the box, breaking the norms to make biotech that’s better for everyone. We’re driven by our mission to bring better tools to the community so that biotechnology is more accessible and powerful than ever before. Let’s face it, genetic engineering doesn’t have the same appeal in every crowd. But we believe a community driven effort is the responsible way to focus on what we like best - cool synthetic biology.
